Quinalphos is an organophosphate insecticide with moderate toxicity. It degrades rapidly on plant surfaces and has a short residual period, making it particularly suitable for application in vegetable crops. This pesticide exhibits both stomach toxicity and contact-killing effects, while also demonstrating good plant permeability. Consequently, it is effective not only against lepidopteran larvae but also against piercing-sucking mouthpart pests such as aphids and thrips, thereby offering a broad-spectrum insecticidal action.
The commercially available formulation is Quinalphos 25% emulsifiable concentrate. When diluted to 2000 times its volume for spray application, it can effectively control various vegetable pests, including cabbage caterpillars, cabbage armyworms, Spodoptera litura, beet armyworms, vegetable aphids, and thrips. Alternatively, when diluted to 1000 times its volume for soil drenching, it can be used to control underground pests such as leek maggots, root maggots, and grubs, with a duration of efficacy exceeding one month.

Distinguished effects:
Quinalphos demonstrates excellent ovicidal efficacy with strong plant systemic activity, providing residual control for 1-2 weeks.
