Fomesafen instroduction:
Fomesafen is a selective herbicide of protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitors. It is absorbed by stems, leaves and roots, destroys the photosynthesis of weeds, and causes the leaves of weeds to turn yellow or have burning spots, and finally wither and die.
It is mainly used in soybean field to control weeds such as pigweed, amaranth, polygonum, nightshade, thistle, duck toe, Xanthium, Abutilon, bidens. When used at normal doses, Fomesafen can be absorbed by the stems, leaves and roots of weeds, thus achieving weeding effect and effectively coping with the problem of overgrowth of weeds in soybean fields. Too high concentration will significantly reduce the root fresh quality, root nodule quantity and root nodule fresh quality of 6 kinds of legume crops, including spring soybean, green bean, summer soybean, mung bean, broad bean and pea.

Leguminous Crops
Fomesafen is primarily used in soybean and peanut fields to control broadleaf weeds (e.g., Amaranthus, Chenopodium, Solanum nigrum, Xanthium strumarium) and certain grass weeds, with high selectivity and safety for target crops.
Application during the early post-emergence to full flowering stage of soybeans effectively reduces weed competition and enhances yield and quality.
Other Broadleaf Crops
Suitable for sugar beet and sunflower fields, but requires adjustments in dosage and timing based on crop growth stages and weed species.
Safety and Precautions
At recommended doses, it shows minimal phytotoxicity to soybeans and peanuts, with transient leaf yellowing or wrinkling that recovers rapidly.
Small-scale trials are mandatory before large-scale application to prevent adverse effects on root biomass and nodule formation.
