Products Description

Fluopicolide is a new type of amide fungicide. It has good control effects on various diseases such as downy mildew, blight, and damping-off. It possesses excellent systemic absorption and translocation properties, enabling it to remain active in plants for a long time, effectively controlling the occurrence and spread of diseases with a long duration of efficacy. It is safe for crops, has low residual levels in soil, and exhibits low toxicity to non-target organisms. It is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of diseases in crops such as vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers.

Mechanism of action

Fluopicolide mainly acts on hemoglobin-like substances in cell membranes, inhibiting cell mitosis, thereby disrupting the membrane stability of ascomycetes and oomycetes, and ultimately leading to the death of pathogens.
This fungicide has excellent systemic conductivity and strong thin-layer penetration. When applied to stems and leaves, it can be transported to the lower leaves and roots of the plant; conversely, it can also be transported from the roots to the young leaves and growing points of the plant. It provides long-lasting bactericidal and protective effects, offering comprehensive and sustained protection for new leaves, stems, tubers, and young fruits.

Main Features

(1) High-efficiency bactericidal action: It possesses both protective and curative effects, and exhibits excellent control efficacy against diseases caused by various oomycete fungi, such as downy mildew, blight, and damping-off. It provides protective, curative, and eradicative effects.

(2) Long duration of efficacy: It has good systemic absorption and translocation properties, enabling it to remain active in plants for an extended period, effectively controlling the occurrence and spread of diseases.

(3) High safety: It is safe for crops, less likely to cause phytotoxicity, and environmentally friendly. It has low residual levels in soil and exhibits low toxicity to non-target organisms.

(4) Good compatibility for formulation: This fungicide can be mixed with other agents such as propamocarb, fosetyl-aluminum, and mancozeb. Such mixtures show more prominent control effects against downy mildew, blight, and late blight, making it the only agent currently available for treating severe downy mildew.

Applicable Crops and Target Diseases

It can be widely used on high-value-added crops such as cucumbers, watermelons, grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and muskmelons. It is used to control oomycete-caused diseases including downy mildew, late blight, early blight, and damping-off, and has an eradicative effect on downy mildew, which is the most damaging disease.

Usage Method

(1) For controlling tomato late blight, 25-35 milliliters of 20% fluopicolide suspension concentrate per mu can be used. Dilute it with 30 kilograms of water and spray evenly on both sides of all leaves of the plant.

(2) For controlling downy mildew in crops such as cucumbers, grapes, and Chinese cabbage, 60-75 milliliters per mu of 687.5 g/L fluazinam·propamocarb suspension concentrate can be used. Dilute it with 30 kilograms of water and spray evenly on both sides of all leaves of the plant, which can quickly control the continued damage and spread of downy mildew.

(3) For controlling late blight  in cucumbers, grapes, and muskmelons, 150-167 grams per mu of 71% fosetyl-aluminum·fluopicolide suspension concentrate can be used. Dilute it with 30 kilograms of water and spray evenly to effectively control the continued spread of blight.
