Picloram 24%SL:Efficient herbicide for broad-leaved weeds

Picloram weedicide control

Crop field usage scenarios

The Picloram 24%SL is registered for a variety of major crops, such as wheat, rice, corn, oilseed rape, and sugarcane.

Oilseed Rape Fields:

Apply the Picloram 24%SL when spring rape reaches the 4-5 leaf stage and when target weeds are at the 3-5 leaf stage for optimal efficacy.

It primarily controls Asteraceae weeds such as Sonchus brachyotus and Cirsium setosum.

For mixed weed spectra, tank-mixing with another compatible herbicide is recommended.

Corn Fields:

Application of the the Picloram 24%SL is effective when corn plants are 7-23 cm in height, providing good control against Cirsium setosum and Field Bindweed. Applying it before the 5-leaf stage carries a risk of crop injury; therefore, directed spray application between rows is advised after the 8-leaf stage.

Spring Wheat Fields:

For pre-emergent application (post-sowing but before crop emergence), it controls both annual and perennial broadleaf weeds. When applied from the tillering to jointing stages, it provides over 75% control of weeds like Cleavers (Galium aparine), Chickweed (Stellaria media), and Lambsquarters (Chenopodium album).

Flax Fields:

Using a directed spray technique protects the flax crop while effectively eliminating target weeds such as Polygonum species (e.g., Knotweed).

Non cultivated land use scenarios

The Picloram 24%SL is well-suited for application in non-cropland areas such as woodlands, pastures, rangelands, and unused wastelands.

Non-Selective Control:

The Picloram 24%SL performs non-selective vegetation control, effectively eliminating perennial weeds and shrubs.

It is particularly effective against woody species and saplings, including elm, linden, birch, locust, poplar, and willow.

Tank-Mix Versatility:

The performance of the Picloram 24%SL can be enhanced through strategic tank-mixing:

Mix with glyphosate or glufosinate-ammonium to improve control of grassy weeds.

For enhanced control of larger trees, combine with hexazinone or triclopyr.

Sulfometuron-methyl is a recommended partner for comprehensive reclamation of wasteland areas.
