Cyenopyrafen (C24H31N3O2) is a new type of acrylonitrile-based acaricide developed by Nippon Shokubai Co., Ltd. of Japan.

Cyenopyrafen is a contact acaricide whose mechanism of action is mainly related to the activation and metabolism of deesterified enols, which inhibits mitochondrial function by disrupting complex II (succinate dehydrogenase) in the respiratory electron transport chain.

Cyenopyrafen has no cross-resistance with the existing mainstream insecticides and can be used for the prevention and control of various mites on crops such as fruit trees, citrus, tea plants, and vegetables.

The mechanism of action is mainly related to the activation and metabolism of deesterified enols. It inhibits mitochondrial function by disrupting complex II (succinate dehydrogenase) in the respiratory electron transfer chain, and the drug has good selectivity.

Cyenopyrafen is used to control tea orange mite, cinnabar leaf mite red spider, two-spotted leaf mite, rust mite, tea yellow mite, leaf mite in fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and tea trees.
