Products Introduction

Quinclorac belongs to the ‌quinolinecarboxylic acid herbicide‌ class and functions as a ‌synthetic hormone inhibitor‌. It is applied in ‌transplanted rice fields‌ and demonstrates ‌effective control against barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli) at the 3–5 leaf stage‌. Its primary mechanism involves ‌inhibiting the growing points‌ of barnyard grass, ‌preventing the emergence of new leaves‌ to achieve weed eradication.

Technical requirements for use

1‌Application Timing‌: Applicable 7–15 days after rice transplanting, with optimal efficacy during barnyard grass 2–3 leaf stage. For direct-seeded rice fields, apply from 4-leaf stage to tillering stage, with optimal control at barnyard grass 2–3 leaf stage.

2‌Precautions‌: Avoid use during early sowing when rice radicles are exposed. Seedlings are sensitive before reaching 2 leaves and 1 heart leaf stage.

3Water Management‌: Maintain shallow water depth (1–3 cm) to expose barnyard grass heart leaves, enhancing herbicide efficacy.

4‌Dosage Adjustment‌: Adjust dosage based on barnyard grass leaf age (within registered limits). Re-flood fields 1–2 days after application; retain water for 5–7 days.

5‌Crop Rotation Restrictions‌: Do not plant sugar beets, eggplants, tobacco, tomatoes, or carrots in treated fields the following year. These crops may be planted after two years.

6‌Usage Limit‌: Apply only once per growing season. Strictly follow label instructions.

Products Precautions

1‌. Application Restrictions‌: Avoid application during early sowing when rice radicles are exposed and under ‌low-temperature-induced weak seedling stage‌; avoid operations during rainfall and high-temperature conditions. Use cautiously in ‌plastic film-covered dry seedling beds‌. This agent is phytotoxic to Solanaceae (e.g., tomatoes, peppers), Apiaceae (e.g., carrots), Cucurbitaceae (e.g., cucumbers), and Leguminosae (e.g., beans). Sensitive crops include ‌sugar beets, tobacco, sunflowers, peas, alfalfa, potatoes, and vegetables‌ – prevent spray drift onto these plants.

2‌. Aquatic Protection‌: Apply away from ‌aquaculture zones‌; never clean equipment in rivers/ponds. Prohibited in ‌fish-farming paddy fields‌. Post-application field water ‌must not be directly discharged into water bodies‌.

3‌. Personal Protection‌: Operators ‌must‌ wear ‌protective clothing, masks, and gloves‌ to avoid inhalation. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application. Wash hands and face thoroughly afterward.

4‌. Special Guidance‌: Under abnormal conditions or for new applications, consult ‌local plant protection technicians‌ for supervision.

5‌. Container Disposal‌: Dispose of used containers properly; ‌never repurpose or discard indiscriminately‌.

6‌. High-Risk Groups‌: ‌Pregnant or breastfeeding women are prohibited from contacting this agent‌.
