Products instroduction
Fomesafen 20% ME is a post-emergence, early-stage contact herbicide. It can be absorbed by the stems, leaves, and roots of weeds, destroying their photosynthesis. This causes leaf yellowing or necrotic spots, leading to wilting and death. It is primarily used in soybean fields to control annual broadleaf weeds.
Products Description
1. Application Timing: Apply this product during the early post-emergence stage of soybeans, before the 3rd trifoliate leaf unfolds, when annual broadleaf weeds are at the 2-4 leaf stage, using foliar spray application.
2. Residual Effect Risk: At excessive dosage, it may cause varying degrees of phytotoxicity to subsequent crops such as cabbage, millet, sorghum, sugar beet, sunflower, corn, rapeseed, and wheat.
3. Intercropping Restriction: Do not use this product when soybeans are intercropped with other sensitive crops.
4. Application Precautions: Monitor wind direction during spraying; cease application if wind speed exceeds 4 meters per second to prevent drift to adjacent sensitive crop fields.
Products Advantages
1. Strong Contact Action
Rapid Onset: After foliar spray application, the herbicide is absorbed by weed stems, leaves, and roots within 4-6 hours, rapidly disrupting photosynthesis. Affected weeds exhibit yellowing, necrotic spots, and withering, leading to death within 48-72 hours.
Rainfastness: Rainfall within 4-6 hours post-application does not affect efficacy.
2. Microemulsion (ME) Formulation Advantages
Enhanced Penetration: The nanoscale particle size of the microemulsion significantly improves adhesion to weed surfaces and penetration, boosting systemic translocation.
Environmental Friendliness: The water-based matrix reduces organic solvent content, lowering risks of volatilization and drift.
Efficacy with Reduced Dosage: Provides equivalent weed control while reducing application rates by 10%-15% compared to traditional emulsifiable concentrates (EC), minimizing phytotoxicity risks.
3. Crop Safety
Even if transient scorching yellow spots appear on soybean leaves (under high temperatures or excessive dosage), recovery typically occurs within 5-7 days without impacting final yield.
