Quizalofop-p-ethyl specifically targets and controls grassy weeds (Poaceae family) and is ineffective against broadleaf weeds and sedges (Cyperaceae family). It is a key herbicide in the typical "grass-broadleaf separate control" management system.

It is effective against both annual and perennial grassy weeds. It shows excellent efficacy against annual weeds such as crabgrass, barnyardgrass, green foxtail, wild oats, and goosegrass. Environmental Conditions: Application requires good soil moisture, relatively high air humidity, and suitable temperatures (15-25°C is ideal). High temperatures, drought conditions, or weeds exceeding the recommended leaf stage can reduce efficacy.

Application Method: Apply by uniform foliar spray. Adding vegetable oil or a non-ionic surfactant to the quizalofop-p-ethyl spray solution can significantly enhance its efficacy against perennial weeds and weeds at more advanced growth stages.
