The mechanism of action of Spinosad is considered to be that of an agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR). It can continuously activate the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in target insects, although its binding site is different from that of nicotine and imidacloprid. Spinosad can also affect GABA receptors, but its mechanism of action in this regard is unclear. It causes rapid paralysis and rigor in pests, ultimately leading to their death.

Vegetables: Cabbage, eggplant, peppers, cowpea, common bean, scallions/onions, and garlic chives/garlic.
